The specific ATPase activity without inhibitor was 0.16 ± 0.05 μmol*mg^-1 *min^-1 in mouse heart crude membranes (blue columns) and 6.1 ± 0.35 μmol*mg^-1 *min^-1 in submitochondrial particles of beef heart (red columns). Solitary columns indicate that the conditions were only tested either for mouse or for beef heart.
