  1. Quenching of Alexa-calmodulin fluorescence was used to estimate binding affinity of IQ peptides to calmodulin using equation (3). FIQ/F is the ratio of Alexa-calmodulin fluorescence in the presence of IQ peptides (extrapolated to saturating peptide) to fluorescence in the absence of peptide. Values reported are means ± standard error (n = 4 independent experiments for each value).
