Effects of additives on fibin expression in L929 and HEK293 cells. L929 or HEK293 cells were incubated with (A) 300 μM MnCl₂ or (B) with either 10 mM lithium chloride, 25 μM forskolin, 10 μM dexamethasone, or 10 μM phorbol ester (final concentrations) for indicated times. Then, samples were analyzed by real-time PCR. Data are given as means ± SEM of x-fold stimulation over controls of three independent experiments using the Student's unpaired t-test. Significant differences between experimental and control conditions are marked with *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001.
