  1. In an ex vivo rubber biosynthesis experiment 6.5 mg of freshly prepared rubber particles was incubated with [1-14C]IPP for the time periods indicated. Extracted rubber material for each assay was fractionated by size exclusion chromatography and radioactivity levels were determined by scintillation.
