Effect of temperature on the thermal stability of miswak protease P1. The reaction mixture contained in 1.0 ml: 3% azocasein, 100 μl of enzyme and 50 mM sodium acetate buffer 6.5 and adjusted to 1 ml with distilled water. The reaction mixture was preincubated at various temperatures for 15 min prior to substrate addition, followed by cooling in an ice bath. The enzyme activity was measured using the standard assay method. Activity at zero time was taken as 100% activity. Each point represents the mean of three experiments ± S.E
