  1. Solubilization of hexokinase by G6P (2 mM) and KSCN (45 mM) was determined as noted under Methods. The remaining activity of HK on G6P treated mitochondria (e.g. for rat; 20%), was subject to release by KSCN. Ten percent of the enzyme activity could be released in this process. Total activity which could be released in the two steps, never exceed 100%. Values shown are means ± SE of at least 3 determinations.
