  1. Xenopus oocytes were injected with 50 nl water (control), or with 5 ng human AQP1 (hAQP1), rat AQP2 (rAQP2), rat AQP4 M23 (rAQP4), rat AQP6 (rAQP6), rat AQP11 (rAQP11), human AQP11 (hAQP11), myc-tagged human AQP11 (myc-hAQP11), or with 25 ng human AQP11 cRNA and tested for water, glycerol, or urea transport or ion conductance at indicated pH. Units for water transport are μm/sec, for glycerol and urea transport 10-6 cm/sec, for ion conductance μA/V. Data represent mean ± SD for 6–10 oocytes, except for ion conductance which is mean ± SE for 3–5 oocytes.
