The amount of eIF4E and eIF2Bε protein did not change in the early phase of T cell activation. T cells were activated with αCD3 and αCD28 for the indicated times. In each case, 600 μg of protein was used for an m⁷GTP Sepharose pull down to detect the amount of eIF4E or used in an immunoprecipitation reaction with αeIF2Bε coupled to protein G to detect eIF2Bε. The pull downs were analyzed by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. The experiment was performed in duplicate.
