The DokA fragment HK (kinase domain) was purified from radioactively labeled and osmotically shocked Dictyostelium cells as described above. The HK fragment is strongly phosphorylated during osmotic shock (t = 20 min, 40 min), whereas no phosphorylation was observed before the shock (t = 0 min).
