Proteolytic cleavage of ATP-labeled and unlabeled VEGF-A 165 by plasmin. VEGF-A165 (6 μM) was preincubated in Tris-HCl (pH 7.5) without or with ATP (20 μM) at 37°C. After 15 min of pre-incubation, 300 ng of plasmin was added to one sample (lane 3) and incubation of all samples was continued for an additional 120 min. Reaction products were visualized by SDS-PAGE and silver staining.
