Effect of amino acid feeding on volatile production by A. parasiticus Δ veA grown in the dark. Conidiospores were inoculated into 100 ml of liquid YES medium at 104/ml and the cultures were grown at 30°C, with shaking at 150 rpm, in the dark for 48 h. Then the amino acids were added and volatiles were analyzed after 18 h of additional incubation as described in Methods.
